The Atlanta Academy of Institutional Pharmacy (AAIP) invites you to join us for the 2018 Annual Awards Banquet! What's 'Pneu' with Pneumonia?

The CE portion of the meeting, “What’s pneu with Pneumonia?  IDSA Guideline Update” will be presented by Victoria Carroll, PharmD, BCPS, Infectious Disease Clinical Pharmacist at Northside Hospital in Atlanta.

PROGRAM GOAL: The goal of this knowledge-based activity is to review the updated 2016 IDSA guidelines on the management of hospital-acquired (HAP) and ventilator-associated (VAP) pneumonia.

PROGRAM OBJECTIVES:

  • Discuss the major changes in the 2016 IDSA/ATS HAP and VAP guidelines

  • Outline empiric antibiotic treatment options for HAP/VAP

  • Identify the optimal duration of antibiotic therapy

  • Define how to develop a HAP/VAP clinical practice guideline
